About the event

This event is a parent information webinar for parents of neurodivergent (Autistic or ADHD) children.

Hosted by Cath Fernando - neurodivergent Speech Pathologist, parent, former engineer and neurodiversity advocate.

Cath is passionate about eliminating bullying, misunderstanding and stigmatising of neurodivergent children and understands that school can be one of the most challenging times for our kids. She promotes ways to support children to embrace their neurodivergent identity by understanding themselves and their differences in a positive light. Self understanding and self-esteem form a solid base from which to form healthy relationships and friendships with others.

As a Speech Pathologist, Cath is particularly interested in communication differences in Autism and ADHD and helps children and parents to understand these differences so that they can self-advocate and learn to meet halfway when misunderstandings arise.
